Due to level 4 water restrictions in South East Queensland, residents are banned from watering their lawns, washing their cars too frequently (or their boats at all), and are asked to try and conserve power. We are in the worst drought our state has ever seen, and it is vital that we don’t waste water.
It’s a shame that our own Government backed South Bank lagoon, located along the Brisbane River leaks 1000 liters an hour. It may even need to be dug up to try and clean up this mess.
Water wastage is also apparent in the state government’s water department’s building. Water used has increased by 11% in the last year.

I read that article. I think it said that some government building had been wasting water with their use of “luxurious” toilet facility’s. sure. Apparetnly those greedy corporate pigs decided (in a secret underground meeting lit by candles) to treat themselves to that extra flush of water “because they deserve it” they must have said.
those same greedy suits probably rigged the south bank lagoon to leak. out of spite. or maybe it has just deteriorated over time? Shame on them for constructing something for the community that they KNEW would end up causing trouble.
I wonder how we DISCOVERED that the lagoon was leaking? AND about the water wastage in the government building? SURELY the government didn’t conduct an investigation? and if they did, what was their motive? to possibly SAVE unnessercery water wastage?
It would have been smarter to just leave the invisible problem alone so the critics couldn’t take the opportunity to start stabbing madly at their backs.
